About

Hi, I’m Michael. I am the Founder and Lead Sound Engineer at Lunarfall Audio, delivering sound design, post-production, and mixing for broadcast television and global animation.

Growing up as a musician sparked an early fascination with sound, not just as something to be heard, but as something that could be deconstructed, reshaped, and transformed. That curiosity grew into a passion for the ways sound can influence emotion and storytelling, leading me naturally into sound design. Today, I focus on creating and manipulating audio to build worlds, support narrative, and bring film, animation, and interactive media to life.

From there, I’ve built a career across broadcast television, animation, and games, moving between creative sound design and technical post-production workflows, always with the same goal of making sound feel intentional and alive.

I hold a Bachelor of Audio Production from Collarts and work across both in-studio and remote pipelines in broadcast, animation, and games. I deliver broadcast-ready audio and ensure all outputs meet required technical and production standards.

Studio Experience

Worked within broadcast and animation production environments, collaborating with editors, producers and graphics teams to deliver audio aligned with tight deadlines and network standards. Experienced in structured workflows, version control and consistent episodic output.

Meta Runner

Sound Design, Foley, Final Mix.

Meta Runner is a three season animated series by Glitch Productions. I was responsible for the sound design, foley, and final mix across the entire series, designing complex robotic and sci-fi sound effects through synthesis, layering, recording and manipulating source material, and creative processing to bring the world and characters to life. I created original effects to match the animation frame by frame and delivered the final mixes to broadcast standards for an audience of millions around the world.

Footy Shorts

Mixing Engineer

Footy Shorts is a high-energy, family-friendly Australian television series dedicated to the AFL and AFLW, presented on Fox Footy, Kayo Sports, and YouTube. I worked as Mixing Engineer across the series, delivering the final audio for multiple episodes under tight weekly deadlines. A big part of the role was shaping the energy of each episode through music, sound effects, and punchy dialogue, helping bring the excitement and humour of the show to life while ensuring everything met broadcast standards for release.
